WIA Contest Champion 2013
Alan Shannon VK4SN has won the WIA Contestor of the year award – the Peter Brown VK4PJ Trophy. He clinched it with winning performances in both SSB and CW modes of the Oceania Dx Contest 2012.
Alan is a member of the Lockyer Valley Amateur Radio Club, Link as well as the Manager for the WIA’s Remembrance Day Contest. The Contests Champion list recognises those who have participated in multiple WIA contests and submitted log results.
The Contest Champion total score is the cumulation of the scores from seven popular WIA contests, these being the Ross Hull, John Moyle National Field Day, Harry Angel, Remembrance Day Contest, Oceania DX Contest Phone, Oceania DX Contest CW, and the VHF UHF Field Days.
